Day 17- A day at sea with a grand dinner!

Awake at about 7.30 am as today is a lazy day at sea on our way from Livorno to Toulon ….

The weather was pleasant with temperatures in the 20’s and a breeze with the ship traveling in a northerly direction to the French Riviera!

Breakfast this morning was in the Britannia room with white tablecloth service… the breakfast for me was an omelette which was good ….

After breakfast we went to a presentation by the marketing team on the features of the ship which was a half hour PowerPoint presentation on how we could spend our money….the captain made a short speech which was quite informative…

After this we did a short tour of the ship then made our way to the pool for the rest of the day.

Late in the afternoon Robyn did a bit of tailoring on my new dinner suit and got dressed for the gala dinner in the Britianna Room… we made a good couple in our fine dining gear!

The dinner was splendid with us enjoying Chateaubriand steak… and a soufflé.

We enjoyed talking to our adjacent table folks which was very interesting… on both sides and behind us we were surrounded by British tourists!

A great night and day of rest.
