Day 11- Day trip to Logaras and Piso Lavadi

Up at 7.30 again!!! Becoming a good habit!

There was a coffee waiting for me at the reception desk to enjoy on the veranda outside the hotel which was great.

The weather today was windy again with some really strong gusts and the temperature was in the high 20’s . A few of the locals I spoke to said it is either not windy and hot or windy and cooler!!!

Today with the help from the hotel reception we decided to take a bus to a nearby town with a sandy beach…. So after our breakfast we packed a few things in the beach bag and headed for the nearest bus stop.

We paid € 2.50 each for a ticket to Logaras which is about a 20 minute bus ride from Dryos. After hopping off the bus it was a short walk to the beach area which was quite crowded with holidaymakers. After a coffee we found a spot on the beach to stop…. Me in the shade and Robyn on the beach in the sun.

After a couple of hours we then walked a short distance along a road to the port town of Piso Lavadi. It was a lovely setting with taverns adjacent to the harbour. We were recommended to have lunch at one or 2 of them. After looking at menu’s we chose a cafe to have a bite of lunch. I had fish balls with beetroot purée and Robyn had a salad. This was enjoyed with a glass or 2 of rose wine!

The restaurants became quite busy as we enjoyed our lunch as we savoured the atmosphere.

At about 3.30 pm we made our way back to the bus stop and paid our € 2.50 each to head back to Dryos.

Arriving back after the day we both agreed that the Golden Beach near our accommodation at Dryos was far better as the beach’s today were a bit dirty with rubbish and they were a bit more crowded.

Tonight we had dinner at another taverna on the beachfront at Dryos called Julia… meal was just ok nothing compared to others we have had so far.

Once again we were in bed by 9 ish after a day of some adventure!
